Tank Needs a Home!

Hi, I'm Tank and I'm desperately seeking my forever home. My life started hard. I was dumped in the country with my siblings. We were starving and had mange. My siblings have gotten forever homes and I want mine. Please help me!!

I am so over my tough beginning and ready for the next great chapter with you. I'm happy, loving, and yes, a big goof. I love people, other dogs my size, and everything about life. I got adopted and I was so excited, but they did not understand I am a teenager and need training. Sadly, I was returned. Help my broken heart heal. Truly I am a good guy and anxious to please. I'm neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed, and current on heartworm preventative. My adoption fee through Austin Pets Alive is $150. I know that may seem like a lot, but I'm worth it. The folks at Austin Pets Alive love me and will refund $75 of the fee if you prove we went through training. They want to be sure I am not disappointed again. I have a big heart I want to share with a family! I can be visited at LABAH. Just call in advance and I'll pencil you in :)

Lets learn life's lessons together!!

*UPDATE: Tank has been adopted and is currently being spoiled to death by his new dad*

What's Wrong with This Picture?

We think this one is self explanatory!

No, they're not our new receptionists, but they sure do love to try to help us out! Sara's dog, Alfie, and Beverly's dog, Shaggy, are frequent visitors to the clinic. They like to come to work with their moms and get spoiled by everyone!

Roselynn

Our puppies for adoption (Duncan, Roselynn, Foote, and Tank) are all still looking for homes!

Here's an updated picture of Roselynn.

"My name is Roselynn. I was dumped on the side of the road, starving and had mange. That was my hard luck past, but I am ready for a bright future!!! I am a 4 month old shepherd mix, sppayed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. My coat is all better now. I enjoy playing with other dogs, toys, retrieving, hiking, running, and relaxing with some good tunes, a movie, and YOU!!! "

More Sweet Puppies Looking for a Home!

Foote, Tank, Roselynn

Our technician, Leni, rescued these cute puppies from the country. They were huddled on the side of the road in poor condition, but after a little TLC, they are healthy and ready to start their new lives. They have playful dispositions and are very eager to please. They already know how to sit! If you're interesting in adopting one of these babies, please contact us!

Looking for a new best friend?

We currently have several animals up for adoption at LABAH!
POOH
pooh
Pooh is an older, distinguished gentleman looking for a lap to call his own. He is very sweet and affectionate after he warms up to his environment. He can be a bit nervous initially, but warms up quickly. If you have a lap you're willing to share, Pooh could be just the kitty for you!
*UPDATE: Pooh is now a spoiled clinic kitty. He spends his days curled up in our laps or basking in the sunlight in his bed by the window.*

POPPY
poppy
Poppy was found in our parking lot rummaging around in the trash cans. She's a big flirt and it didn't take too long to catch her. She tested positive for feline leukemia so she needs to be the only cat in her new home. She's only a year old and very playful. If you're interested in adopting Poppy, give us a call and we can tell you more about her medical condition.
*UPDATE: ADOPTED*

MOLLY
molly
This little girl is just full of sass and we love it! She was abandoned by the mailboxes at a local apartment complex. She's very sweet, but requires an experienced cat home due to her "catitude".
*UPDATE: Molly became a clinic cat until a wonderful client of ours decided to foster her. She's now hanging out with him and having the time of her life.*

DUNCAN
duncan
Duncan is a sweet little guy who is wise beyond his years. He is doing very well on his crate training already. He's currently being fostered by Alyson and will be up for adoption this weekend at Austin Pets Alive.
*UPDATE: ADOPTED*
.
If you're interested in adopting any of these animals, please contact us!

LABAH Puppies

Spring is here and all of the adorable puppies and kittens are coming in for their vaccinations! Here are some of our puppy patients:

Chubbs isn't sure what to make of the doctor yet so he proceeds with caution

Cosmo thinks there is nothing to be worried about and hams it up for the camera

Lola always comes in sporting the latest fashions
And Raleigh (the self-appointed greeting committee) can often be found playing behind the front desk

Rest in Peace, Sweet Phyllis

We're very sad to report that our little office cat, Phyllis, made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge last month. She was a very strong girl and so full of love. When she came to us, we thought she only had a few months left to live. Those months quickly turned into years for our little fighter. We miss her terribly and she remains in all of our hearts.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Severus Needs a Home!

Could anyone resist this sweet face?

A good samaritan rescued Severus from the streets and brought him to our clinic. He has been in our care for several weeks now and is ready to find a home where he can be loved and spoiled. He loves nothing more than a good belly rub and brushing!

Severus tested positive for FIV, so he needs to be the only cat in the household. If you're not familiar with FIV, visit this website for a FAQ.

Severus is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. If you'd like to meet him or find out more information, stop by our clinic. He'd love to see you!

UPDATE: Severus has been adopted and is doing great in his loving new home!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SPITZ!!

Dr. Spitz celebrated his birthday last Sunday, Vegas style! When he came to the clinic on Monday morning, we had a flamingo in the yard for each year of his life. Can you guess how many flamingos there were?

We are Remodeling!!

Look at Dr. Spitz pitch in as we launch our remodeling project!

If you come to the clinic this week, you'll notice big changes! We've already finished our big exam room and are currently working on our waiting room/reception area. Please excuse the noise and the mess as we work to beautify our clinic.

Huge thanks to our doctors for their creative input; to Mimi for working so hard in the exam room; and to our technician, Laurie, who is slaving away in the reception area while the rest of us are asleep late at night!
